French Riviera Film Festival 2025

Cinema

The finalists of the seventh edition of the French Riviera Film Festival will be presented on April 28. “Our boutique short film festival becomes more successful each and every year -  comments co-founder Nicole Muj - We’re thrilled that filmmakers are embracing AI, which is reflected in the many submissions we have received for this edition in that category. We look forward to showcasing the works by such talented filmmakers from around the globe once again this year in Cannes”.

The festival will take place in Cannes on May 16 and 17, 2025. It will take place at the Eden Hotel and Resort in Cannes and will showcase short films and short-form content from around the world, featuring works by filmmakers from more than 20 countries in the categories of Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Science Fiction/Horror, Animation, Experimental, Music Video, Micro Short, Activism, Student, Lifestyle, Fashion and Artificial Intelligence.

At the official opening reception and closing awards ceremony, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Audience, Rising Star and Industry Excellence awards will also be presented (more details to follow). FRFF festival attendees and participants include filmmakers, industry executives, celebrities, media and influencers.

Additionally, a special Out of Competition screening of iconic Swedish band The Hives’ new music video Enough Is Enough, will screen on day two of the festival. The song is the first single from the band’s latest album The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, co-produced by Pelle Gunnerfeldt and Mike D of the Beastie Boys.

The 2025 edition will once again be a hybrid event, with finalist films available for worldwide viewing through the eoFlix platform with official streaming partner Entertainment Oxygen.
