The Broken Circle is a horror movie to be released in April 2025. Directed by Sarah Revoltella, the plot revolves around a group of bored young people from the Veneto province who are willing to do anything to escape their anonymity. Andrea, who has just returned from abroad, starts hanging out with his brother Federico's company, a small group of 20-somethings who spend the week looking forward to the weekend. One evening, Fabio, the leader of the group, organizes a dinner where he decides to kill his girlfriend, Francesca, and serve her to everyone: at the end of the dinner, he reveals to the others what has happened, but the boys do not have the courage to go to the police and prefer to stage an accident to throw off the investigation. But by now the adrenaline of the evening is compacting the group and excites the boys so much that they decide to organize other dinners where the victims will be chosen according to the principle of Russian roulette. The game is interrupted when Andrea sacrifices himself to save the girl he is in love with.

The theme of adolescent distress is told by exploring the psychological dynamics of a group of young people pushed to the limits of morality, in a context where the desire to belong turns into a dangerous and self-destructive game. The film is based on the director's short story of the same name and is cited in Sabino Acquaviva's essay L'eclissi dell'Europa as an indicative example for understanding the discontent of youth in the new generations. The cast includes Gianmaria Martini, Federico Tolardo, Andrea Pergolesi and Alessia Pellegrino. Festivals she has participated in include the Toronto International Women Film Festival, the LA Independent Women Film Awards, and the Abruzzo Horror Film Festival, where she won Best Film.

Sarah Revoltella has previously worked on the video performance Io Combatto at the Venice Arsenal, the glass armor La difesa - currently on display at the Doge's Palace - and has published Antimonio-Manualetto Rivoluzionario and Macedonia.
