'The Post' by Steven Spielberg: interview with actor Kelly Miller
Kelly Miller about his experience on the set.
The Post is Steven Spielberg's movie with Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. Actor Kelly Miller explains his experience on the set. Miller played in many tv series, as Homeland, Blue Bloods and Common Charges.
Q. You worked on the movie The Post. What is your role?
A. I play the Copy Editor who's tasked with editing the Washington Post's first big story on the Pentagon Papers.
Q. How it was working with director Steven Spielberg?
A. We shot the newsroom stuff for about three weeks, and every day I was pinching myself going to set and working with people I've admired for years. I think everyone felt similarly... that we were part of something really special. My first day working with Steven Spielberg was a bit of an out of body experience. I've been watching his films my whole life, so it's hard not be a little starstruck. But he's so warm and friendly. He made the experience a real joy. And he's just inspiring to watch. They way he crafts a scene and creates all these interesting moments. I could sit and watch him work all day.
