Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Nikki M. James Interview

"I mean, getting a second season, more opportunities to tell this story, to work and live in my favorite city in the entire world. I feel really, really lucky and season two really kicks off with a bang and we really—the hits keep coming. 

It was an amazing experience to shoot and from what I've seen, it looks even better than it felt making it, so that's great. Keep watching, we've got a lot of things coming for you and we just hope that we've honored these characters, both the characters that people love from this TV series and characters that people love from the comic and it's been amazing bringing them back to life and we can't wait to see what you think. 

At the start of this season, Kirsten and Matt are sort of separated from each other. We're not sure where Matt is at the end of season one, you know, his apartment blows up and we start like sort of with Kirsten on her own in the law firm and but that means that Charlie and I didn't get to shoot together for a while and then we have a really fun reunion between Kirsten and Matt and it was fun to shoot, it was really fun for Charlie and I to be back together and I think we'll get a couple of laughs from the audience when they see it. It's pretty great."

Throughout the series, Nikki M. James plays Kirsten McDuffie, who finds herself running the law firm on her own at the start of season two due to Matt Murdock's mysterious disappearance. Her journey highlights both professional and personal growth as she deals with the fallout of previous events, maintaining a deep connection to the character's comic book legacy.
