You also teach directing at UCLA what it's like to work at a time like this, with the difficulties of the coronavirus emergency?
Due to Covid 19 all classes have gone online and meetings are done through either Zoom or Adobe Connect. I was hesitant to teach this way at first, but after the first few classes, the benefits for me as an instructor are great. I can really encourage more student interactions and I find the students much more engaged. I also save myself an hour in travel time back and fore to Campus. I also don't need to worry about parking! The hour saved on travel is put to good use as I spend more time on preparing for the class giving the students a better experience.
