You are Venezuelan. What is cinema and audiovisual culture like in Venezuela?
Venezuela has a long tradition in the production of soap operas. It was one of the first countries with greater acceptance of this type of series. However, in recent years this trend has collapsed and we have not managed to produce content that is interesting for today's audiences. But in the case of cinema, Venezuela does have young filmmakers who have won important international awards. Due to the political crisis that the country is experiencing, many filmmakers have emigrated and continue to make films in other countries but with issues related to our country of origin. I have great faith that Venezuelan cinema will continue to grow even in other latitudes.
