What's your favorite book?
Great question. I love to read so I can’t pin down a favorite book as I have many that are near and dear to my heart, including: Be Here Now by Ram Dass, The Lord of the Rings trilogy by JRR. Tolkien, Dracula by Bram Stoker, The Stand by Stephen King, The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice and Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. However, one of my favorites is The Essential Rumi translated by Coleman Barks. Rumi’s poems of love and devotion are so rapturous and filled with spirit that I had never read anything like it at that point in my life. It opened my eyes and even moreso, opened my heart to become a more compassionate, loving person and I owe a great debt to Rumi.
