The Devil Wears Prada 2

The box office of the most watched movies in the United States from May 8 to 10, 2026 - with still provisional data - confirms in first place The Devil Wears Prada 2 ($144,844,258): Andy Sachs and the director of Runway magazine, Miranda Priestly reunite to face professional challenges in the context of the decline of traditional publishing.

Mortal Kombat II

In second place enters Mortal Kombat II ($40,000,000): Johnny Cage collaborates with some adepts in the final battle to defeat the dark realm of Shao Kahn, which threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders.

Michael

In third place drops Michael ($240,489,704): the movie tells the early years of musician Michael Jackson's life, from his childhood as a star of the Jackson 5, through the violence suffered from his father Joe Jackson, his successful albums Off the Wall and Thriller, his last performance with his brothers, up to the tour following the release of the album Bad.

Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard and Soft - The Tour Live in 3D

In fifth place is Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard and Soft - The Tour Live in 3D ($7.5 million): the 3D concert film follows the tour, documenting the Manchester shows, and is co-directed by Eilish and James Cameron.

The Sheep Detectives

In fourth place there's another new entry, The Sheep Detectives ($15,916,000): every evening a shepherd reads a mystery novel aloud, pretending that his sheep can understand. When he is found dead, the sheep immediately realize it's a murder and think they already know how to solve it.

Another new entry is in sixteenth place with Silent Friend ($74,440): set in the botanical garden of a medieval city in Germany, the plot shows three eras, three personalities, three sometimes clumsy but sincere attempts to free themselves and create a bond with plants and the world of the garden.

In twenty-second place there's Blue Film ($31,000): Aaron Eagle, a camboy specialized in fetishism, agrees to spend the night with an anonymous client, only to discover a disturbing connection to his past.

In twenty-fifth place there's The Python Hunt ($13,827): every year the Florida government invites the public to participate in a competition to remove invasive pythons in the Everglades. For 10 nights, a heterogeneous group of hunters confronts the dangerous terrain, nocturnal creatures, and their own desires.
