High Tides: The Third and Final Season of the Series
The coastal drama with Pommelien Thijs and Willem De Schryver returns on April 3, 2026 with new secrets, family conflict
The third season of High Tides will be available worldwide from April 3, 2026, with the exception of Belgium, where the series will be released at a later time through the public broadcaster VRT.
In the finale, the cards are reshuffled. Power relationships, old and new, are put under pressure, and long-hidden secrets threaten to emerge.
Louise's return and the shadow of Anton Vermeer
After spending several months in a psychiatric institution, Louise returns to Knokke. She is determined to regain control of her life, but once home she discovers that nothing is as it was before. Alex and Daan are hiding secrets, and the once powerful Vandael real estate empire is on shaky foundations. Just when the pressure reaches its peak, sworn enemy Anton Vermeer, played by Daan Schuurmans, appears on the scene.
Debts, secrets and lies continue to pile up. Louise, Daan and Alex find themselves facing a dilemma: will they remain true to themselves, or will they remain trapped in a web of intrigue?
A consolidated cast and new arrivals
Pommelien Thijs reprises the role of Louise with the same emotional intensity that characterized the previous seasons. By her side, Willem De Schryver and Eliyha Altena return respectively in the roles of Alex and Daan, while Anna Drijver and Ayana Doucouré complete the family nucleus with their layered performances. The entrance of Daan Schuurmans as Anton Vermeer adds a new dimension to the conflict, bringing with him an energy that promises to further destabilize the already precarious balance.
Among the new faces, Nola Elvis Kemper also stands out, who after acting in Eén Grote Familie and in the NPO series Badgast, joins the cast for this final season. The production, directed by Anthony Schatteman and written by Luk Wyns, maintains the stylistic signature that has made High Tides an international success: a mix of polished aesthetics and psychological discomfort, where the luxury of the Belgian coast becomes the backdrop for intimate tragedies.
