The Burbs Tv series, Keke Palmer interview
The statements of Keke Palmer
"Well, I loved all the different tones of it, right? We have comedy, we have horror, and then realism of this new couple coming into this town that obviously Samir, my character, her husband's from, but she's not from. So there's a lot of things that they're tackling. It's a little bit of a fish out of water, so lots to play with. And then a huge fan of obviously Tom Hanks, excited and nervous to take on something he's done before, but overall big fans of everybody that's a part of this show. I mean, Seth MacFarlane, Brian Grazer, what else could you ask for?"
"I mean, it was historical and amazing. Anytime I get a chance to be in any of the Hollywood old school sets, it's like I feel like I'm making magic. So it was a lot of fun. Obviously, you know, Desperate Housewives filmed there, we're in the old Munster house, so it's a lot of history."
"The pacing, I think is probably the creepiest thing in any horror movie and she definitely cracked that open. From the beginning we get into this town, we know that something's not right and nothing's even happened. You know what I mean? I—and shouts to all of our directors too that have helped create that tone and keep it going throughout the show. And as things unravel, I think more than anything she—she holds back, she has enough restraint enough throughout the series that still keeps you going and you're getting enough, but it just makes you hang on to each episode more and more."
"The music was everything. Everything was awesome. And it's also our same guy that did Nope, so it was really cool that he was also a part of this and it was creepy, but it's also cool. We got so many cool songs in the show. I mean, we got 'Outstanding' from The Gap Band, like it's just so cultural, which I think is awesome."
"I'm the neighbor you don't even know is there. I don't bother, but when I'm hosting a party, I do invite you over."
