Frontier Crucible, the Plot of the Movie
Frontier Crucible is an upcoming western thriller movie. The plot is set in 1870 Arizona: a former soldier (Myles Clohessy) haunted by his past allies himself with three outlaws (Thomas Jane, Armie Hammer, and Ryan Masson) and a beautiful woman (Mary Stickley) with her injured husband (Eli Brown). They must survive the elements and the hostilities of the frontier.
“You would never survive going that way. There’s nothing but enemies,” one of the outlaws advises the soldier in the released trailer. A scene follows where the four men are about to draw their pistols and shoot each other, but then they stop. “Let’s see how bravely you’ll die,” declares an Apache.

Myles Clohessy has worked on Operation Blood Hunt and the series Love the Way You Lie, FBI: Most Wanted.
Armie Hammer starred in Call Me By Your Name and Death on the Nile. The cast also includes William H. Macy, protagonist of the TV series Shameless; Thomas Jane, performer in episodes of Too Much and Hung (2009).
The direction is by Travis Mills, who has previously directed The Legacy of the 12 Westerns, The Five, and Heart of the Gun.
Frontier Crucible, the Production and Filming of the Movie
Production is by Bonfire Legend and Renegade Entertainment. Filming began in November 2024 in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona, with Maxime Alexandre as cinematographer. The movie releases in US theaters on December 5, 2025.
