Do Not Enter, Francesca Reale interview
The statements of Francesca Reale
"Oh my god, for theaters, I think any horror movie in theaters is like a must-see because it's community. I mean, like I love going to see a horror movie in a theater where someone is like kind of talking through the film a little bit, like it gets everyone engaged and everyone's kind of like interacting and you just feel like you're in kind of like an immersive experience all of a sudden.
So that would be my pitch. Um, she is described in the story as the key. She's the one who like unlocks doors, she's like a little parkour squirrel, and she's jumping and hopping around everywhere. Um, but she's also just like the sarcastic, witty, like she's not really taking anything too seriously until it obviously gets very serious.
Um, and she's kind of like that little, that little slice of uh dry humor, dry wit and humor in the group. But I think there's just something so fun about like an adventure film, especially when you have like a, it's like a group of people together doing it, it's not just a solo adventure, they're like the Goonies or like Jumanji or anything in that vein, and then you add the horror element to it and I think that always leaves room again for that like community building, whether it's like people are screaming because they're so terrified or they're laughing because something hilarious or unbelievable or super believable happens.
It's just um I always I feel like I love doing films like that. I mean this this group of people is they're truly family now, you know, like they they are just like Addie has become one of my best friends in the world and Jake and Shane and Lauren Sophiany who's not here, and Nicholas Hamilton who couldn't be here tonight either, but it it it was the best exper- they were the best part and best experience. Crazy. Adventure. Fun. Nailed it. We're ready to go."
