"My uh I come from the music video world. I've directed quite a few music videos uh in my career. And somebody I knew from that world moved on to the film world. He's a producer. He sent me the script and I really loved it. Um, as you can see I have two teenagers here and uh they love horror and they love uh they love the script and and and the script was like a horror adventure script. So it's it's not your typical horror script there's a lot of fun and entertainment in it and I just I just thought it would be a fun ride. I wasn't familiar at all with uh with the book but I am very familiar with First Blood. It's one of my favorite movies uh and I once I found that out but when I got the script it was I didn't know it was based on a book or based on anything. So it takes certain things from the book but it it's its own thing. It's definitely its own thing. It's a very visual film. I think people will love the experience of the Paragon Hotel and it's just a really fun ride. It's just a very entertaining fun movie."
