Shooting in a perfectly arranged historic setting like this always feels like time-traveling. On the other hand, being a german actor impersonating a member of the SS demands a certain responsibility.
So, for this character, I tried to express what in my opinion happened to many german men then -
before, there were rather small nobodys. Then, they were put into a uniform, granting them power over other people, which they enjoyed as much as they exploited it - in a small-time version of the Führer`s Grössenwahn
