Yes, growing up in Johannesburg, South Africa, I was a HUGE fan of the Archie comics and used to go to the local store every week with my pocket money to get gum and a comic. I was mainly on Team Betty’s side. I remember reading one comic strip where Reggie asks Archie to ‘enlighten’ him about something and then Archie pushes him into a lake and says ‘consider yourself enlightened!’ I got a dictionary to look up the word ‘enlightened’ and it has been a big influence on my life ever since!
