Interview with the actress Yasmine Al Massri, starring in the film Refugee, nominated for the Oscars
Yasmine Al Massri worked in tv series Castelvania, in streaming on Netflix
Do you think that the coronavirus emergency will change the way films are enjoyed forever?
We will never stop enjoying films as human beings have been enjoying stories since they existed. The most famous story of them all being mother Eve plotting against father Adam to eat the apple! So, we are not going to stop telling stories and consuming them from all corners of the earth, but the new technologies will definitely provide new choices in the way that we consume and experience those stories. The virus will be over soon, and film theatres will reinvent themselves just like everything else does with time. We will always choose being with a loved one or walking outside our homes by ourselves or watching a story, whether from the back seat of a car or an indoor theatre. For me, we will never seek to stop interest in human beings, even with all the screens that we can have around us.
