Have you been to Amsterdam?
Yes! I love Amsterdam! I was there for 2 months or so studying experimental theatre with New York University, and had some of the best times of my life. Amsterdam, much like Venice, has a special magic. I think it has something to do with the constant close proximity to water. The canals run through the city like blood through our veins. It’s as if we are experiencing the beauty of our life force outside of ourselves. It’s invigorating and calming all at once. Also, the windows are so clean. I think Amsterdam is poetry. Some cities really are.
