The Devil Wears Prada 2, Aline Brosh McKenna London Premiere Interview

Very excited. I'm, you know, there are fans who are in their twenties and there are fans who weren't born. And so a lot of people grew up watching this movie on television, it's constantly on television. And so I think for some people it's nostalgic, for some people it's brand new, some people have never seen the first movie, and I think they can enjoy this movie too. 

So, um, we were really excited to tell that story again. It, it developed over time. It, you know, it was when it came out, it was it was a- it was successful, but it didn't sort of take on this other, um, dimension until over time. And that's one of the things that's interesting about movies and television shows is that there's initial reaction and then there's the reaction it garners over the years. I think, you know, although the world has changed so much in twenty years, the economy financially, the pressures people are under in every business. 

And so that's what started, um, making us interested in wondering how Miranda would deal with these pressures and how Andy would deal with these pressures, Nigel and Emily, and where they would be in this much more high-pressure high-stakes world. And so that's what this movie really is. I mean I hope they have a great experience in a movie theater, which is something I think we're all craving and excited about and that's why I love this hoopla because I'm a movie fan and I like to see movies in the theater and I'm hoping that, um, a lot of people will see it in the movie theater first. And so, yeah, great night at the movies. Grab your popcorn, grab your sweetie and go to the movies.
