TV Series Ted Lasso: interview with actor Stephen Manas
Ted Lasso is on streaming on Apple Tv+
Do you think the coronavirus emergency will change film and TV productions? How have you been spending the lockdown period?
It
changed the world; I don’t know how TV and Films wouldn’t be
impacted. I think it is going to be like every other industry, it
will be very tough for small productions and newcomers. For big ones
as Hollywood, AppleTV+, Netflix and all, I am sure they are
smart enough to find a way to have a little pause but still be
productive and most importantly creative.
During the lock
down, I relaxed, luckily for me, my last project was on February 20th
- just before the French lockdown. The other projects were cancelled
or postponed but my job was done. I turned off my computer and phone
for a while and it was good to rest a little. When you are acting you
are on 24/7 with auditions, self-tapes, phone calls, and so on.
Yes it is not the toughest job in the world but still it was
enjoyable to rest for a while, to play music, to spend time
with my family, playing sports, practicing English with all my new
friends from “Ted Lasso.” I had the chance to find a way to make
it as positive as possible.
