Half Man: Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell in the HBO Series About Broken Brotherhood
Plot, cast and release of Half Man, the HBO and BBC drama that tells 40 years of violence and fraternal bonds
Half Man is the original six-episode limited series from Emmy®-winning creator and executive producer Richard Gadd ("Baby Reindeer," "Against the Law"), which will debut in April 2026 on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max in the United States, Latin America and Europe, and on BBC iPlayer, BBC One and BBC Scotland in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The Plot of Half Man: A Brotherhood Broken by Violence
Niall and Ruben are brothers. Not related by blood but in the closest way possible. One, fierce and loyal. The other, meek and mild-mannered. Inseparable youth. Brought into each other's lives through death and circumstance, all they have is each other. But when Ruben shows up at Niall's wedding three decades later, everything seems different. He is on edge. Shifty. Not acting like himself. And soon, an explosion of violence takes place that catapults us back through their lives, from the eighties to the present day.
Jamie Bell plays Niall and Richard Gadd is Ruben. The plot covers almost 40 years from the eighties to the present day.
