Passenger is the horror movie in production. The plot follows a young couple who, during their van life adventure, witness a car accident that leaves the driver dead. But the two find themselves pursued by an impossible-to-shake stalker, who follows them wherever they go.

The trailer shown as a preview in movie theaters before the screening of Primate shows the young man (Jacob Scipio) while driving at night on a secondary road, with a broken window: at the edges of the road he sees the stalker staring at him, the young man passes him gasping, but after a while he finds him again on the roadside. And so for a third time.

Cast of Passenger: Jacob Scipio, Melissa Leo and Other Protagonists

In the cast there is Melissa Leo, Oscar winner for The Fighter: she participated in Long Gone Heroes and the TV series The Clean Up Crew. Jacob Scipio is known for his roles in Bad Boys for Life and Without Remorse.

Also present are Lou Llobell, already seen in the series Foundation; Devielle Johnson, performer in Eternity and episodes of The Crossing. The direction is by André Øvredal, who has already directed The Last Voyage of the Demeter, Mortal and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.

The production is by 18Hz Productions and Coin Operated. Filming took place in the United States in January and February 2025. The cinematography is entrusted to Federico Verardi, while the music is composed by Christopher Young.

Release Date and Distribution: When and Where to See Passenger

Passenger has undergone some changes in its scheduling: initially planned for May 29, 2026, the movie has been moved up to May 22 to avoid competition with A24's Backrooms and another Paramount movie, Scary Movie.
