The Vampire Lestat, the TV series starring Sam Reid
Anne Rice's Immortal Universe returns June 2026 on AMC and AMC+ with new rock-centered chapter
New Scene Shows Lestat's Response to Interview with the Vampire Publication
AMC Networks released a scene from The Vampire Lestat, the next chapter in Anne Rice's Immortal Universe. The scene, "The Book," features Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson and shows Lestat's (Reid) reaction to the release of Daniel Molloy's (Eric Bogosian) book, Interview with the Vampire. The series premieres in June on AMC and AMC+.
The season centers on rock and roll. The Vampire Lestat embarks on a multi-city tour while being haunted by "muses" from his past. As his band's popularity rises, Lestat's influence over vampires and humans grows, while others contend with his power during the Great Conversion, a surge in the vampire population.
Cast and Production Details
The Vampire Lestat stars Reid and Anderson, alongside Assad Zaman, Bogosian, Delainey Hayles and Jennifer Ehle. The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, creator, writer and showrunner Rolin Jones, Hannah Moscovitch, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.
Long Face Single Debuts Ahead of Series Premiere
The scene follows the debut of "Long Face," Lestat's first rock single. The season will feature new tracks in the coming months. AMC Networks and Lakeshore Records released the single on the Vampire Lestat artist profile pages at Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. The song's music and lyrics are by series composer Daniel Hart and performed by Reid.
Reid recently starred in Interview with the Vampire, while Jacob Anderson appeared in Interview with the Vampire and Game of Thrones. Eric Bogosian participated in Interview with the Vampire and Succession, Delainey Hayles in Interview with the Vampire, and Jennifer Ehle in The Pale Blue Eye and A Quiet Passion.
