'Michael Keaton is extreme focused, Laura Dern is nice': interview with actor David de Vries

I worked with Michael and Laura Dern for the most part along with an old friend of mine, Wilbur Fitzgerald.  You frequently end up meeting other actors in the makeup trailer and I had a lovely introduction to Laura sitting next to her as we got into hair and makeup. She is as nice as you might imagine she would be.  Gracious and humble. Michael was very nice to work with—extremely focused.  We worked through the scenes, giving him the chance to improvise a little.  There’s a tremendous amount of pressure in his situation, carrying a film in which he is in virtually every scene, but he’s a trooper and we all enjoyed the work a great deal.
