Do you think that the coronavirus emergency will also change the narration of the films? What about promotion?

The impact of the coronavirus on the industry is really serious. The fact that the production process was on hold for such a long time will definitely become noticeable in the content market in the nearest future.

But on the other hand, it was a great push for all of us. This challenging situation required flexibility and fast and effective decisions, and this really stimulated creativity.

We will definitely be observing an increase of screening live content in the nearest time - this format was really boosted by the lockdown. The industry managed to adjust and find new solutions. The production process is coming back now with new experience.

With regard to promotion - everything just went digital. As simple as this may sound, in reality key film markets had to make difficult decisions and work really hard in order to offer quality solutions. We are happy that most of the markets took place online.

On our side, we came up with an absolutely new format, a digital content market 'Key Buyers Event: Digital Edition.' All Russian content producers were represented and we welcomed 600+ international participants, buyers and producers. We are really proud of the results and planning our 2nd digital edition for November 2020.
