Interview with 'Film Fest' director: 'The story is a combination of the best and worst of us'
Film Fest is in streaming on Amazon Prime Video and iTunes
What was the most complicated aspect of making the film?
The most complicated aspect of filming was making the movie feel as big as possible with our limited budget. We shot the movie in LA and Idyllwild, CA, with multiple locations, around 40 speaking roles, plus background actors. Our team did an incredible job squeezing every dollar we could out of the budget and putting it on the screen, but it wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our cast, crew, and property owners in Idyllwild and LA. It was truly a labor of love and that’s part of the movie’s authenticity and charm.
