Marvel’s Runaways is a tv series on Hulu. The comic book series “The Runaway” was created in 2003 by Brian K. Vaughan e Adrian Alphona. Luis Castellanos is an actor on the Tv series.

Q. In Runaways you play Topher. Can you talk about your character, please?

A. Topher is a very unique individual whose been through a lot. He’s known as a vampire born back in the late 1800s, which can only mean he’s had quite the past—since vampires are immortal. There’s a bit of a twist as we just saw in the trailers and the season premier. We got a taste of what Topher is and what he is capable of. We didn’t go to deep into his origin, but he definitely is not all he seems to be.

Q. Topher is a crafty runaway. Do you find you have any similarities to your character?

A. I do find a few actually. He’s Latino, speaks Spanish, and very street smart. Growing up in Dominican Republic, being street smart is in your nature.

Q. Can you tell us how the shooting takes place in a Marvel series? Is there a steel processing plan?

A. I was simply blown away. To be a part of such a big production shooting at Paramount Studios was a dream come true. There is always a pretty structured plan when filming something like this. Especially with Marvel, I got to learn so much about special effects. You’d be surprised how much effort is really put into this, it almost feels like there are no special effects.

Q. What is your favorite comic book?

A. I like Wolverine. He’s a very grounded character but yet so powerful. Definitely my favorite.

Q. You worked as a model. What is the most annoying and the most enticing aspect of this work?

A. Well, stating the obvious, the annoying part about the modeling industry is that one is constantly being judge based on their look. It’s not always the best self-esteem booster.

Q. Model profession has recently been very much on instagram.

A. As far as young influencers, I’m a huge fan of anyone doing well in their industry. I’m excited to see more young people continue to provide value in their desired space. However, there are individuals that compare themselves to these role models and begin to feel inferior. That is the main con I see happening, but otherwise I think it’s great!

Q. Is it true that you are fond of books?

A. I love books! Reading has really developed my mindset by learning from successful people and putting into practice the knowledge I’ve been acquiring. Personal development is my genre of choice. The last book I read was ‘A New Earth’ by Eckhart Tolle.  It’s a more in-depth version of the ‘ Power of Now ‘ written by the same author. It’s really helped me increase my awareness.

Q. What is your next project?

A. Don’t want to spill the beans on any of them but I can give you a hint: I found myself writing. I’m definitely super excited to see the turnout of Marvel’s Runaways though. Many are curious to see if Topher will be returning for season 3. I’d love to know for myself.
