Short Open House 1-4, interview with actress Tanya Christiansen and director Brad Holloway
How is the current situation of the real estate market in the United States?
Brad Holloway. The real estate market before the pandemic was strong in Naples, Florida because many wealthy individuals were buying their second or third home here- it's an extremely affluent community. There has also been paranoia amongst local realtors due to rumors that individuals from the East Coast (ie Miami) might target open houses for robberies. Post-virus, there's uncertainty about what will happen next, so the market has nearly come to a standstill. That said, since corporations and high net worth individuals in America have siphoned off most of the bailout money, billions of dollars that should have gone to renters and small businesses, the Naples market has a good chance of recovering in the near future.
