Through three decades, shifting trends, and massive changes in technology, Candlebox has remained true to their craft, lighting up both stages and playlists. If you thought ‘The Long Goodbye Tour’ meant slowing down, think again. Not a chance.

At the recent Welcome To Rockville music festival, I sat down with Kevin Martin (lead vocalist and guitarist) and Peter Klett (lead guitarist) to dive deeper into their story, how they’ve kept their music alive and thriving through the years.

From analog grit to digital polish, Candlebox keeps one foot in the roots and one eye on the future.

It’s that all-or-nothing attitude that’s defined the band’s career, raw, real, and unfiltered. And the fans were in Florida’s heatwave for every second of it, just give a listen to Far Behind, a song that still resonates deeply.

Won't you look at where we've grown.

Won't you look at where we've gone.

From a bourbon launch with soul to charity work that hits close to home, Candlebox proves that passion, evolution, and purpose are still front and center in everything they do.

Lost Marbles, a brand-new bourbon that’s personal for Kevin, added to his energy, a tour that refuses to die, Candlebox shows no signs of anything final, great try guys.

But it’s not all about the music or the bourbon, there’s a deeper connection to charity than ever before. Kevin, who grew up connected to the foster care system, has become a vocal supporter of organizations that help children in need.

A child named Angel really spoke in volume with his story.

Candlebox is involved in charity work supporting foster care programs and music camps, helping kids like Angel find purpose, and maybe even their voice.

What started as a farewell tour has turned into a fully embraced “the longest final tour in rock history.” And the fans are loving it. I was surprised there’s not a shining Candle statue for Candlebox in Seattle as part of a tourist tour.

These guys are rockin’ it, their music still punches. Their message still matters. And their mission, to lift, connect, and create has never been clearer or final.
