Exhibition Terni - Diario Urbano / Ritratti 2022 – 2023
The exhibition Diario Urbano / Ritratti 2022 - 2023 features photographs by Fabrizio Borelli, curated by Maria Italia Zacheo: it is an episodic event, a visual journey that tells the story of the city-civitas, Terni, through the faces and words of the people. The participants have been posed and interviewed, representing the city and now becoming protagonists. The faces and words of the people become the narrative and the city comes forward with its diversity and stories. The thoughts and reflections of the protagonists also emerge: "The initial idea, centered on the theme of posed portraits, turned into an extremely interesting journey," says Borelli, "a journey into the identity of each of us, including those of us who portray people. Zaccheo recalls: "I first came to Terni in the early 1980s to meet Mario Ridolfi. I mention him because the exhibition talks about the city through the citizens, and Ridolfi's rationalism is a particular rationalism, linked to the substance, to the earth; his works have always had a crazy adherence to the city. We are not talking about space, but about the place of identity, and we have also aimed at the perception of the 'use' of the city, with citizens who, also through photography, make it their own". The exhibition will be on view at the Museo Diocesano until December 3, 2023.
