Foo Fighters Release "Caught in the Echo," Third Single from Upcoming Album "Your Favorite Toy"
Dave Grohl's band unveils explosive opening track ahead of April 24 album release and Take Cover World Tour
The Foo Fighters have released "Caught in the Echo," the third single from their forthcoming album, arriving April 24 via Roswell Records/RCA Records and available for pre-order. The track comes with a lyric video.
"Caught in the Echo" serves as the opening track from "Your Favorite Toy" and establishes the album's tone from the first note. The song contains the raw energy and live intensity characteristic of Foo Fighters, elements that permeate the entire project: from the relentless opening mantra "Do I? Do I? Do I? Do I?" to the closing question "Who can save us now?", it builds mounting tension that erupts in powerful, direct sonic impact. The track anticipates the project's rawer, more instinctive soul, positioning itself as the band's most explosive opening track since "Bridge Burning" from "Wasting Light."
"Caught in the Echo" follows the success of the title track, which The New York Times described as "a return to garage rock roots, with rough guitars and a visceral, overwhelming sound," while Vice celebrated "the most unrestrained and out-of-control version of Dave Grohl" present in the song.
The new album "Your Favorite Toy" arrives April 24, recorded entirely at home and co-produced by Foo Fighters with Oliver Roman, with sound engineering by Oliver Roman and mixing by Mark "Spike" Stent.
"Your Favorite Toy" tracklist

The release of "Your Favorite Toy" marks the beginning of Foo Fighters' massive "Take Cover World Tour," launching June 10 at Unity Arena in Oslo, following two headlining dates at U.S. festivals Welcome to Rockville and Bottlerock and a new, already sold-out date on April 28 at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
