Venice - Ballo del Doge 2026
Emma Thompson and Anish Kapoor were among the VIP guests at MOREAMORE, the 33rd edition of Antonia Sautter's Il Ballo del Doge, which took place in February 2026 at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia in Venice.
“My work stems from an ongoing dialogue with art and with Venice, a city that rewards those who love and respect it with great beauty. The same beauty that I try to infuse into what I consider my ever-evolving work of art: Il Ballo del Doge,” said Antonia Sautter, organizer of the event.
There are over 400 international guests, with dreamlike sets evocative of the Serenissima, hundreds of period costumes, and eight hours of live entertainment with a dedicated cast of over 100 artists. From Shakespeare to DJ sets, from dancers from La Scala to aerial acrobats, all the nuances and forms of love were on display on the stage of #moreAmore.
