Matt Simons is an American singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York City. After the Landslid is the recent album. We Can Do Better (2018) it became a charting hit single in a number of international charts.
How did the song "After The Landslide" come about?
I wanted to write about the period in my life where I was going through a lot of big transitions and changes. My music career wasn’t going very well, I had just gone through a big breakup and was feeling very lost. I wanted to write about the feelings I experienced in that time. Fear, excitement, sadness, optimism, the whole spectrum.
