Interview with Screwdriver film director Cairo Smith: 'Divorce is an outcome from a relationship failing'
Screwdriver is the film in theaters
You are also the author of a Graphic Novel, Raptor. What is your favorite graphic novel and why?
RAPTOR is a bit of a unique project for me. It actually emerged from a pen-and-paper roleplaying game that I ran with my mother for easily six or seven years. That, arguably, was one of the best crash courses in storytelling I could have possibly asked for, and there’s a whole wealth of stories worth telling which emerged from it.
As far as my favorite graphic novel — it’s a super basic answer, but honestly I think Watchmen is unparalleled in its class. I would also say The Private Eye and Sandman are high up there for me, although it gets debatable determining what’s a graphic novel and what’s a serialized comic.
