Kurt Krause is known for his roles in American Horror Story (2011) as Dustin Eagers, True Detective (2014), and Painted Horses (2017). He acted alongside Kevin Costner in the award-winning film Hidden Figures (2017), with Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe and Kevin Costner.

You worked in movie “Hidden Figures”. Please can you tell us about this role?

I played the role of Sam Turner. He is an engineer at NASA in the Special Task Group working under Kevin Costner and Jim Parson's characters. Unfortunately, my character is definitely on the wrong side of history as a product of 1960's America. So, approaching the role, I had to know what my part in the ensemble was: to try and help lift the stories of Taraji, Octavia, and Janelle. As an actor, you are lucky to work one one or two films of this caliber in your entire career. To work on one so early in my career is a blessing.
