Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, the Integral Version

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is the upcoming crime and action movie. It features the work originally released in 2003 and 2004 as two separate parts, directed by Quentin Tarantino, now reproposed as an integral version. The 258-minute picture was originally conceived as a single work, then divided in two.

“I wrote and directed this as one movie, and I’m so happy to give fans the opportunity to see it as one movie,” Tarantino declared. “The best way to see ‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’ is in a cinema, in glorious 70mm or 35mm.”

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, the Plot and Cast of the Movie

The narrative follows an assassin mother seeking vengeance against her former boss and lover. She is portrayed by Uma Thurman: Beatrix Kiddo (code name Black Mamba) is a former member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, described as “the deadliest woman in the world.”

After spending four years in a coma, she awakens and discovers with horror that she is no longer pregnant. Bill – her former lover and father of the deceased child – former leader of the Deadly Vipers, was the one who shot her in the head: he now becomes the final target of Beatrix’s revenge. Lucy Liu plays O-Ren Ishii (code name Cottonmouth), a former Deadly Viper who became the leader of the Tokyo yakuza. Vivica A. Fox portrays Vernita Green (code name Copperhead), a former Deadly Viper now a mother and housewife living under the name Jeannie Bell.

Daryl Hannah is Elle Driver (code name California Mountain Snake), a former Deadly Viper, Bill’s lover and the Bride’s fourth target. Michael Madsen is Budd (code name Sidewinder), a former Deadly Viper and Bill’s brother, working as a bouncer in a strip club, and the Bride’s third target. Gordon Liu is Pai Mei, a powerful martial arts master: Beatrix, Bill, and Elle trained under his guidance.

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, How It Was Born

Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman conceived the character of the Bride during the production of Tarantino’s 1994 movie Pulp Fiction: the Bride character is inspired by the actress herself, because Tarantino spent a year and a half writing the screenplay while living in New York City in 2000 and 2001, spending time with Thurman and her newborn daughter Maya.

Discovering a more mature Thurman, now a mother, influenced how Tarantino wrote the Bride character: he didn’t realize her daughter could still be alive until the end of the writing process. Tarantino has repeatedly stated he is working on a sequel.

Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, the Movie’s Release Date

The integral work removes the cliffhanger ending of Volume 1 and the recap introduction of Volume 2, proposing itself as a single coherent narrative. It also includes a never-before-seen 7-and-a-half-minute anime sequence not included in the distributed versions. The movie will be distributed by Lionsgate in the United States on December 5, 2025.
