The lavish Governors Ball banquet at the 2026 Oscars featured a menu curated by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck alongside his son, Byron Lazaroff-Puck. The event hosted 1,500 guests, supported by a team of 75 chefs, 45 pastry chefs, and 325 front-of-house staff and managers.

The savory offerings included Signature Spicy Tuna Tartare, Mini Wagyu Cheeseburgers, Truffle Chicken Pot Pie, Crab Chawanmushi, Confit Duck Potstickers, Macaroni and Cheese, and Fish and Chips.

The dessert selection paid homage to the chef’s family tradition, featuring his famous apple strudel with caramel sauce, tiramisu, freshly baked madeleines, and a variety of ice cream flavors. A striking highlight was the 3,000 chocolate replicas of the Oscar statuette, each coated with edible 24-carat gold.

Cocktails served included a Tequila Don Julio blend with Italian aperitif, dry vermouth, elderflower liqueur, cucumber syrup, fresh lime juice, and sparkling water, presented in a highball glass rimmed with Mexican salt. The Maestro Martini was crafted with Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino.

Among the evening’s distinguished guests were Mckenna Grace, Jack Piatt, David Borenstein, Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Ryan Coogler, Michael B. Jordan, Ludwig Göransson, Valentina Merli, Jerry and Linda Bruckheimer, Rita Wilson, Nia Vardalos, Paul Thomas Anderson, EJAE, Sterling K. Brown, Leonardo DiCaprio, Eve Gavigan, Steven Spielberg, and Nicole Kidman.
