Chloe Bailey has acted in The Exorcism and the television series Swarm. The cast also includes Lynn Whitfield, Emmy-winning actress for her role as Josephine Baker in the movie The Josephine Baker Story; Lucien Laviscount, known for the role of Alfie in the series Emily in Paris; Anna Diop, recognized for her role as Starfire/Koriand’r in the series DC Titans, and seen in Nanny.

Strung, the direction of the movie

The direction is by Malcolm D. Lee, who recently directed Space Jam: A New Legacy with LeBron James and the series The Best Man: The Final Chapters. The screenplay is by Alan B. McElroy, who previously wrote Halloween 4 and Wrong Turn.

Strung, production and release

The production is by Tyler Perry and Jason Blum for Blumhouse. Principal photography took place in Cape Town, South Africa, in March 2025. The movie will open the 30th edition of the American Black Film Festival in May 2026 in Miami Beach, and will be available for streaming on Peacock on June 26, 2026.
