Whistle, the Plot of the Movie

Whistle is the upcoming horror movie. The plot follows a group of misfit students who stumble upon a cursed object, an ancient Aztec death whistle. The youngsters discover that by blowing into the whistle and releasing its terrifying sound, their future deaths will come to hunt them down. As the body count rises, the friends investigate the origins of the deadly artifact, with the goal of stopping the chain of events they have set in motion.

In the released trailer, Chrys (Dafne Keen) touches the artifact, and shortly after several people die: one - at a show - tilts their head with a broken neck, another is dragged upward to the roof, another burns alive.

Whistle, the Cast of the Movie

Dafne Keen starred in Deadpool & Wolverine as X-23, a role she also played in 2017’s Logan. The actress also appears in the TV series The Acolyte and His Dark Materials.

The cast also includes Sophie Nélisse, previously seen in The Book Thief and episodes of Yellowjackets; Nick Frost, star of How to Get Billy Walsh to Fall in Love and Monster Family 2.

The movie is directed by Corin Hardy, who previously directed The Nun: The Demonic Vocation and episodes of Gangs of London. The screenplay is by Owen Egerton, based on his short story. “Whistle is made with the same outcast teenage spirit and sincerity found in my favorite genre movies I grew up with,” Hardy said, as reported by Deadline. “I was drawn to the mysterious mythology surrounding the ‘Death Whistle’ and how it offered me the opportunity to create a variety of imaginative and terrifying cinematic deaths.”
