Fondazione Fellini
The Fondazione Fellini is an international cultural institution: based in Sion, Switzerland, it possesses an important cinematographic collection, based on the initial collection of Gérald Morin, former assistant to Fellini. Its objective is to valorize its own collection through a program of exhibitions, publications, educational and research activities. It has presented works by important contemporary artists, directors, photographers, writers and painters such as Maurice Béjart (choreographer of the ballet Ciao Fellini), David Lynch (in 2018 the cultural center of the Fondazione Fellini in Sion hosted the world premiere of David Lynch's lithographs in honor of Fellini with the exhibition David Lynch. Dreams. A Tribute to Fellini), Pedro Almodóvar, Wim Wenders, Steve Schapiro, Michel Butor, Nicolas Bouvier. Dedicated primarily to Fellini's work, it preserves over 10,000 documents out of a total of 16,000, including 1,600 letters, props, costumes, scenic elements, 800 photographs, 300 posters and several hundred original drawings. Among the current exhibitions - at the Maison du diable in Sion - an exhibition celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the movie The Name of the Rose, with plates signed by Milo Manara; Casanova La grande illusion, for the fiftieth anniversary of Fellini's movie.
