Buio come il cuore, the Plot of the Film
"Dark as the Heart" is the upcoming thriller film. The plot centers on Anna (Elisabetta Pellini), an ambitious actress trying to leave behind a troubled past. The presence of her possessive husband Giulio (Antonio Grosso) fuels her insecurity: emerging from the past are also his ex-lover, Daniela (Antonietta Bello), and hers, the photographer Fabio (Stefano Gianino).

Elisabetta Pellini has recently worked in "La volpe e l'uva" and "Corro da te" (read the interview). Antonio Grosso has acted in "La cena perfetta" and "Matrimoni e altre follie"; Antonietta Bello played the role of Lucia Greco in the TV series "Le tre rose di Eva", and in 2018 she acted in "Lovers"; Stefano Gianino has appeared in episodes of "Vanina", "Le avventure di Carlo Monterossi" and "The White Lotus". The cast also includes Gabriele Rossi, previously seen in "Assassin Club" and a protagonist of "Grande Fratello VIP" in 2016. The film is directed by [name omitted], who has previously directed "Beneath the Mix" and "Trees Peckham": the screenplay is his and journalist Claudio Masenza's. "Elisabetta (Pellini, ed.) has the gift of bringing to life characters that reflect the nuances of the human soul," states the director, "and she has made Anna unforgettable."

The
production is by Blue Film, with the support of Fondazione Calabria Film
Commission. Filming took place in Reggio Calabria in March 2023, with locations
including the "Cilea" Theater, the waterfront, and Palazzo Alvaro. The
film will be released in theaters on December 12, 2024.
