Fuze, the Movie Plot

Fuzeis the thriller and action movie coming out. The plot is set in London, Fuze takes place after an unexploded bomb from World War II is discovered at a busy construction site, forcing a massive evacuation of the entire city.

Amid the growing tension and chaos, a criminal operation is set in motion, exploiting the evacuation as cover for a meticulously planned heist. As authorities race against time to contain the crisis, moral boundaries are crossed.

“It could explode at any moment” says soldier Will Tranter (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) in the released trailer. The area is cordoned off, “we’re on” prepares Karalis (Theo James) in street cleaner clothes.

The gold bullion heist begins, but law enforcement notices. “It appears there’s been a bank robbery on Edgware Road” discovers a policewoman. Shootout scenes follow: “what did you think was going to happen?” asks the character played by Sam Worthington.

Fuze, the Movie Cast

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has acted in Tenet, Bullet Train and Kraven the Hunter; Theo James has worked on The Divergent Series: Allegiant in the role of Four, and in the TV series The White Lotus and The Gentleman.

Sam Worthington is the protagonist ofAvatar 3and has taken part in The Exorcism. Also present is Gugu Mbatha-Raw, performer in the TV series The Morning Show.

The direction is by David Mackenzie, who has already directed In nome del cielo and Outlaw King.

Fuze, the Movie Production and Filming

The production is by Sigma Films and Anton. Filming began in July 2024 in London. The director of photography is Giles Nuttgens, who has already worked on movies like Enola Holmes and Shoshana. The movie is released in American theaters on April 3, 2026.

The movie has already been presented at the Toronto Movie Festival, where it received negative reviews. For The Movie Stage “no one can be trusted. No one is certain of their survival. We don’t even know who to root for, except the director himself, hoping he makes it”.

For Screen Daily “trying to be a relentless adrenaline rush, Fuze starts with grit but ultimately fails, and its high-octane ambitions soon become mechanical”.

For The Guardian “while there’s something engaging about the way the movie takes us to a place so, literally, far from where we started, the way we get there isn’t as fun or stimulating as it should be, with anonymously organized action, easy-to-spot plot twists and a fundamental lack of suspense”.

The movie is released in American theaters on April 3, 2026.
