The Thomas Crown Affair, the movie's trailer
In the trailer released at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Thomas effortlessly climbs a building and steals a classic Van Gogh painting: then he leads the FBI agent into his penthouse full of exotic and invaluable artworks. It is understood that Thomas wants to recover precious artifacts stolen, robbed or sold over the centuries from their rightful creators. In other images he is shirtless, beginning a flirtation with the woman.
The Thomas Crown Affair, the movie's cast
Michael B. Jordan won the Oscar in 2026 for his role in Sinners, and acted in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – in the role of Killmonger – and in Creed III: he will be Methuselah in the new movie in production.
Adria Arjona worked in the TV series Andor and in Irma Vep, and in Hit Man with Glen Powell. Kenneth Branagh acted in A Haunting in Venice and in episodes of Blue Eye Samurai. Also present are Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Danai Gurira (Avengers: Endgame) and Aubrey Plaza (Megalopolis).
The Thomas Crown Affair, the movie's direction
The direction is by Jordan himself, who already directed Creed III. "I didn't want a reboot. I wanted a reimagining - he told Variety in November - The first two movies were about rich white men stealing for fun. Today that doesn't work anymore. Ours is more personal. The stakes are higher. There's still fashion and romance."
The screenplay has been in development for several years, and the movie is a sequel to the 1968 movie, The Thomas Crown Affair, starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway.
The movies about Thomas Crown in theaters

In 2014 the magazine Empire, John McTiernan – screenwriter of the first movie - revealed he had written a script for the sequel, while he was in prison, charged with paying a detective to spy on some Hollywood phones.
