The film also recounts the comparison between technology and magic in a world where there are no positive characters. Why?
I wrote the first film as the United States as dealing with the mortgage crisis. People were losing their homes. Corporate america were the villains. I wanted to make a Robin Hood story that avenged the people who were robbed. I was writing about the times. Now, technology and hacking have become a big topic and it seems fitting that the Horsemen would tackle today's issues of technology and security.
