'Jessica Jones was a unique experience': interview with writer Edward Ricourt

I think the first movie was original. When I went out and pitched a story about magician heroes, no one was paying me to go out and write it. No one could see the value in the movie. So I had to go out and write the script and prove why I thought the story was worth telling. It also had great word of mouth. Audiences loved the movie and told their friends, and it just kept growing. It was a dream come true.
