'Jessica Jones was a unique experience': interview with writer Edward Ricourt
Edward Ricourt is writer also of Wayward Pines
You also worked in Jessica Jones. How do you feel about TV series and comic book movies?
Jessica Jones was a unique experience. There was so few opportunities for female leads and the comics portrayed Jessica as a strong female protagonist. Not a sex symbol. But someone who has gone through hell, and is brave. Strong. A hero. It was easy for me to say yes to the project. I hope Marvel decides to do more shows with female heroes. We have many female heroes through history. I have a daughter and I would like her to see people that look like her on the screen.
