Dailybloid’s ranking for Best Picture at the 2026 Oscars: all positions and scores down to the last place
The Dailybloid editorial team has compiled the ranking of the 2026 Oscar winner in the Best Picture category. The winner is Hamnet by Chloé Zhao: the plot is set in 1596, in Stratford-upon-Avon, in the United Kingdom, when the Black Death spreads through the country. A young Latin teacher, William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal), penniless and mistreated by a violent father, falls in love with an eccentric young woman, Agnes (Jessie Buckley). She is known throughout the countryside for her healing abilities, which she practices using plants and potions. Having moved with her husband to Stratford-upon-Avon, she becomes a protective mother, while William’s career is taking off in London. But their son Hamnet (Jacobi Jupe) is struck by a sudden fever, and Agnes is alone trying to save him.
