Pressure, the plot of the movie

Pressure is the drama and war movie in production. The plot is set in 1944: in the final days before the planned Allied invasion, Royal Air Force meteorologist James Stagg (Andrew Scott) must deliver a weather report to the Allied high command, led by Dwight Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) to determine the feasibility of D-Day. German meteorologists expect bad weather, but the Allies took advantage of an unexpected period of clear skies for the Normandy landing.

"One single mistake. That one mistake" says Eisenhower in the released trailer. "This is the greatest seaborne invasion in history" he confirms to Stagg. "If the landing is cancelled, we will lose the war" says officer Bernard Montgomery (Damian Lewis). "and if you invade tomorrow, they will be wiped out" says Stagg who has studied the forecasts.\[stop\]

Pressure, the cast of the movie

Brendan Fraser won the Oscar for his role in The Whale, and worked on Doom Patrol playing Robotman. Andrew Scott worked on the TV series Ripley. In the cast Kerry Condon, in cinemas with F1: her role is Captain Kay Summersby, member of the British Mechanised Transport Corps during World War II, who served as driver and later as personal secretary to Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Damian Lewis - protagonist of Homeland episodes - has the role of Marshall Bernard Montgomery, who after the second battle of El Alamein Montgomery returned to Great Britain, in command of the 21st Army Group composed of all Allied ground forces.

Pressure, the direction of the movie

The direction is by Anthony Maras, who already directed Hotel Mumbai. The screenplay is adapted from the 2014 theatrical work of the same name written by David Haig, based on real events that occurred during World War II, focused on the true story of James Stagg and the weather forecasts that led to Operation Overlord.
