SOULM8TE is an upcoming horror movie. The narrative follows a man who purchases an android equipped with artificial intelligence to cope with the loss of his recently deceased wife.

In his attempt to create a truly sentient companion, he inadvertently transforms a harmless lovebot into a soulmate capable of killing.

SOULM8TE: The Cast of the Movie

The cast includes Valerie Hanna, who has previously appeared in TV series such as Divorced Sistas and Chicago P.D.; Claudia Doumit, already seen in episodes of The Boys and 3 Body Problem.

Also featured is David Rysdahl, interpreter of the series Alien: Earth and The Luckiest Man in America. The movie also stars Lily Sullivan, previously seen in Forgive Us All and Evil Dead Rise.

The direction comes from Kate Dolan, who has previously helmed You Are Not My Mother and episodes of The Tourist. Among the screenwriters are Phil Lord and James Wan. “Fundamentally, I see this movie as an exploration of relationships and loneliness,” Dolan stated, as reported by Deadline. “Despite technological advancements, there are enduring human truths from which we cannot escape.”

“SOULM8TE is an exciting and seductive addition to the M3GAN universe,” reiterated Wan. It serves as a spin-off and third chapter in the M3GAN franchise: the two movies from 2023 and 2025 have collectively grossed $220.8 million.

SOULM8TE: Filming and Release Date of the Movie

Production is handled by Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster. Filming took place in October and November 2024. The movie is set to release in U.S. theaters on January 9, 2026.
