Interview with entertainment and media entrepreneur Larry Namer
Larry Namer is E! Founder, President/CEO of Metan Global Entertainment Group
You then switched to Metan Global Entertainment. Why did you choose the China market? What is the mistake you have not repeated, with Metan Global Entertainment?
I chose China because it was clear to me that the growth in China's economy would continue and the country would emerge as one of the leading consumers of filmed entertainment in the world. It has. Plus, it provided a level playing field for independents to compete with the big media conglomerates. The biggest mistake was not signing talent to longer term contracts.
