Most-watched movies of the week: 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' and 'The Boogeyman' the new releases
The ranking of the most-watched movies in the United States
The box office of the most-viewed movies in the United States from June 2 to 4, 2023, sees newcomer Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ($120,663,589) in first place: Miles Morales is catapulted into the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting his very existence.
The Little Mermaid and The Boogeyman.
In second comes The Little Mermaid ($186,992,778): a young mermaid makes a deal with a sea witch, exchanging her voice for human legs so she can discover the world above the water and attract the attention of a prince. In third is the newcomer The Boogeyman ($12,356,486): still reeling from the tragic death of her mother, a teenage girl and her sister are victimized by a sadistic presence in their home, and they attempt to get their grieving father's attention before it is too late.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Fast X
In fourth comes Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3, $323,189,452): Peter Quill, with his team tries to defend the universe and save their friend Rocket, after an attack executed by Adam Warlock. In fifth is Fast X ($113,545,000): Dom Toretto and his family are the target of the vengeful drug kingpin's son, Hernan Reyes.
Another newcomer is in 12th place, with Past Lives ($232,266): Nora and Hae Sung, two close childhood friends, become separated after Nora's family emigrates from South Korea. Twenty years later, they randomly reunite. In fourteenth is The Roundup: No Way Out ($189,244), a sequel to the Korean action movie The Roundup.
